Career in Bollywood
The new trend in Bollywood is to use the actors who had never been part of Bollywood. Love Sex Aur Dhoka was one such movie very recently. Why is it so? Why is a “one night stand” between the directors and the actors becoming more and more popular?
The new actors obviously charge much less than the more established and famous actors and actresses of Bollywood, which means a producer can dream of producing a Bollywood movie with a very small budget.
But what does this mean for the new actors? They may never be able to imagine a full time career for themselves in Bollywood! Could there be another Amitabh Bachchan who has been acting for decades now?
Many might want to add that if one is good at his or her work, the directors would want to have that person in their movies. But there is no dearth of talent in the new upcoming generation too, which would be the case in the future even. The producers produce movies not to establish careers but to earn money for themselves. Another advantage of working with the new actors is the lack of celebrity tantrums that many “stars” show as soon as they get a movie hit!
What do you think? Should the new comers in the movie industry devote their life to acting or keep a plan B for themselves?
