Politics And Bollywood
Should movies be prevented from screenings to meet the political agenda of the fundamentalist political parties?
The politics in India seem to be getting worse by the day. Well, it never get better anywhere else either, but some fanatical and fundamentalist parties take it a bit too far in India.
Recently the screenings of the movie My Name Is Khan were disrupted and the audiences and the theater owners were threatened and beaten up if the movie was watched or screened anywhere in Mumbai and the adjoining areas. It seems the political parties have nothing else to prove themselves with that they stoop so low to interfere with the free speech rights of the Indian public. These political parties should be the protectors of the constitution not the ones who would distort it and defame it. The good part is the Indian public is slowly understanding the real agenda of these parties whose only aim is to spread violence and keep themselves in power in way or the other.
